INTRODUCING ROD LEES
REGISTERED FITNESS INSTRUCTOR AND PERSONAL TRAINER – REG NO: 27162
Rod has a background in teaching, social work, and management. His teaching career covers primary, secondary, TAFE and university. As a social worker, he has worked in the fields of alcohol and drug rehabilitation, school social work, TAFE counselling and employee rehabilitation. He was also the employee relations manager for a large organisation of 1200 staff, a senior consultant in organisational health, and held the position of Director of Youth Affairs in Queensland for a number of years.
He currently works as a consultant in the areas of health and wellness, with a specific interest in both mental and physical health. Rod offers programs in Workplace Wellness, Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid, Managing Change, Conducting Difficult Conversations, Building Resilience and has spoken at numerous conferences on the above topics.
In addition, he works as a Personal Trainer, and offers support for individuals and organisations in the areas of mediation, team conflict resolution, and employee rehabilitation.
Rod is a keen runner and cyclist and has represented Australia in Touch Football. He has also written and published a book about his sailing adventure with his wife from Australia to Turkey.
INTRODUCING KARYN LEES
Karyn Lees believes it is important for everyone to make room in their lives for the things that light them up – even when our busy schedules and responsibilities seem to take up every waking moment. Karyn loves supporting people to get clear about what motivates them and she provides the techniques to put dreams into actions.
Karyn co-created the business – Living Better Longer – to combine her 30 years of experience in teaching, coaching, leading adventures, and corporate project management. She is a certified Passion Test facilitator, is a qualified coach with the international company Results Coaching, and holds qualifications in Physical/Outdoor Education and Personal Training. Karyn works in government and community sectors as well as managing her own small business.
As demonstrated by sailing her boat from Australia to the Mediterranean, Karyn believes that we can all achieve things far beyond our imagination with the right focus.
